ALL-Band Boosters

Get Involved!

We get it — life is crazy busy, and that is especially true for families with high schoolers! That’s why we offer a wide variety of ways to be involved. You can dip your toe in the shallow end, dive in head-first at the deep end, or something in between!

• Come to a Meeting: Band Parents, guardians and band supporters are welcome to attend any of our meetings to learn what’s happening. Come ANYTIME!

  • Meeting schedule: Third Thursday of every month at 5:30 pm in the band room (changed from second Tuesday). Any changes to the schedule are shared in the Private Facebook Group (see next item for more info).

• Join us on Facebook:

  • Public Page: Anyone can access this page.

    • Share these posts and events with your friends!

    • Provides concert livestreams and information about public band activities and concerts.

    • You can also find the page by searching Facebook for @waukeshasouthblackshirtbands.

  • Private Group: You must be a prospective or active parent of a band student to be accepted to this group.

    • Provides updates, info, pictures and videos of performances.

    • Sign Up Geniuses for donation requests and band volunteer opportunities are shared here.

    • You can find the group by searching Facebook for “Waukesha South Band Boosters”, and request to join.

• Attend Dining Fundraisers: A portion of sales is donated to the band on designated fundraiser nights at local restaurants, including Culver’s, Chocolate Factory, Taco John’s and Tap Yard! These events are posted on our Dining Fundraiser page, and shared on our Facebook group and public page.

• Marchfest: Marchfest is the oldest running marching band competition in southeast Wisconsin!  We host around 14-18 marching bands in one evening. It’s an exciting event which funds the majority of the band program for the year. There are many ways to support! Purchase program ad space, volunteer for the event (ticketing, parking attendants, gate security, concession sales, to name a few). It’s so big, it gets it’s own page!

• Cookie Walk: Who doesn’t love cookies — especially when someone else bakes them? Our annual Cookie Walk is held in early December. Help with the planning, bake cookies, or volunteer for the event.

• Band Roadies: Help band move equipment on/off the field or stage, other performance logistics.

• Band Camp: Provide food and refreshments during camp.

• Concerts: Planning, setup, cleanup, and any other needs relating to concerts and performances.
